Scott Kelly is the founder of the band Uptown Easy. He is a North Carolina native and has lived in Wilmington the past 20 years. Scott's been playing in bands since high school. Music is a huge part of his life and he is very passionate about any project he's involved in. Key Lime Pie, The Nina Repeta Band, The Mango Band and Velcro are some of the local bands he's played drums for over the last couple decades. "My dad still plays drums in a great band and I will always look up to him and be grateful for the skills he's passed down to me, thanks dad." Jaime Michele
Lead Singer
Formerly from the outskirts of NYC, Jaime has been performing professionally since she was 17. The Victrola Band, Jason Yudoff & The New Hotness, BLP & Uncle Hairy to name few. With over 20 years experience as a lead singer, she places emphasis not only on singing the song but also carefully emoting the lyrics. With a natural stage presence & a powerful yet soulful voice, she aims to capture her listeners from the very first note. Her musical influences are eclectic, tried & true including the likes of Sarah Vaughan, Eva Cassidy, Tori Amos, Martin Sexton, Susan Tedeschi, Grace Potter, & Lady Gaga. Jaime is grateful for her loving family who have always been there to support her while she keeps pursuing her passion for music.
Gary Bowers
Trumpet & Background Vocals
Hometown: Leland NC (Formally from Garnerville, New York) Previous Bands: Numerous bands since 1982 playing clubs and events throughout the Tri-State area. Gary estimates this to be over 2,000 gigs to date. He has shared the stage with such artists as “The Boss”, Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, Martha Reeves, Gary US Bonds, Gregg Allman, Jackson Browne, Al Cooper, etc Influences were Chicago, Tower of Power, Maynard Ferguson, James Morrison, Asbury Jukes
Keith DeLoatch
Trombone & Background Vocals
Hailing from Florence, SC, Keith moved to Wilmington in 1996, after graduating college. His love for music ranges from jazz to bluegrass and all other musical genres in between! He has played with several local bands since moving to Wilmington, such as, a short-lived R&B band known as The Workshop, a classic rock band called Catfish Stew; a jazz/R&B band, named Pamoja and the blues band Snake Malone & the Black Cat Bone. Keith’s musical influences are JJ Johnson, Earth Wind and Fire, The Commodores and The Ohio Players, just to name a few.
Spencer Hayden
Keyboards & Background Vocals
Native Virginian, “Spence” Hayden has been a professional musician and National recording artist for most of his life. Touring with “Manhassett” and opening for such bands as The Association and Mason Profit as a young player to Jerry Reed, Montgomery Gentry and Charlie Daniels, to mention a few, as a seasoned performer. He has toured with Keith Bryant and Nam Rock and in 2014, had the pleasure of opening for and working with Pop Star Andy Grammer in Salt Lake City, filming an MTV video. His latest recordings: Southport Johnny and the Bizness in Southport, NC.: “Getting Drunk”, “Love By The Ruler” and “I Love You Period”, Calabash Flash in Myrtle Beach, SC.: “One Day at a Time” Atlantic Records and Phoenix Arizona’s The Elixir’s, CD featuring Jimmy Mack and his compilation of originals, recorded at SouthWynd Studios, Mesa, Az. Hayden is currently performing with John Tatum (Tatum/Hayden Blues and Blue Grass Review), Southport Johnny and the Bizness (NC. Blues), and Uptown Easy, Wilmington, NC. A band of Variety!
Robert "Beau" Beauchene

Robert Beauchene (Beau) is originally from New York and currently resides in Wilmington. He is a husband, father, musician, woodworker and photographer. In addition to playing solo as BUTTER, he has played guitar and bass in Wilmington in several groups including Two of a Kind, The Other Guys, BLIVET!, Uncle Hairy, Get Back, Soul Power Posse, Swingshift and Roadhog (to name a few). Jazz Standards, Sinatra, Classic Country, 50's crooners, Beatles, Black Sabbath, Big 80's and current tunes as well - he has played over 2000 gigs since he moved here in 2004.
